The post on X (formerly Twitter) read, “DC Studios’ Deathstroke / Bane movie is called ‘Savage Hunters.’” This name also appeared on an internal to-do list for the newly merged Skydance and Warner Bros. company, as Deadline recently reported. The document placed “Savage Hunters, aka Deathstroke & Bane Movie (DC)” among DC feature projects currently in early development.

The reported title generated a range of reactions from fans on social media. Development history and director rumors

The Deathstroke and Bane project has been in development for more than two years. DC Studios was first reported to be working on the team-up movie with a script from Matthew Orton. His credits include Captain America: Brave New World and Moon Knight. Since then, DC Studios has released little information about the movie. Greg Mottola, the director of Peacemaker Season 2, has also been reported as a possible choice to helm the film. The studio has yet to confirm the reported title or Mottola’s involvement officially.
