DC Studios' animated Mister Miracle series has secured a director and character designers, though release details remain unannounced.

Key creative personnel have been attached to DC Studios’ upcoming animated series "Mister Miracle," according to recent reports. The project now features Diego Porral as the director and Gigi Cavenago handling character design, marking significant progress in its development phase.
Scooper MyTimeToShineHello shared these details on X, stating that Porral is directing the show while Cavenago designs the characters. In a subsequent post, the scooper added that Isabela Littger serves as an episodic director and Andrei Sitari acts as the character design supervisor.
James Gunn, head of DC Studios, confirmed the existence of the "Mister Miracle" animated series in January 2026. He identified it as part of the DCU animated lineup. The narrative centers on Scott Free, a New God created by Jack Kirby who debuted in 1971. Free escapes the tyrannical planet Apokolips to become Earth’s greatest escape artist.
The series draws from Tom King and Mitch Gerads’ acclaimed 2017 limited series, which won the 2019 Eisner Award for Best Limited Series. Porral brings animation experience to the role, while Cavenago is known for work in comics and visual development. Littger and Sitari complete the core creative team with their respective supervisory and directional roles.
"Mister Miracle" has appeared in various DC animation projects over the years. Ioan Gruffudd voiced Scott Free in the DC Animated Universe, and Yuri Lowenthal portrayed him in "Batman: The Brave and the Bold." Roger Craig Smith played the character in "Justice League Action" and later in "Lego DC Super-Villains." Andy Daly provided the voice for a cameo appearance in "Harley Quinn."
DC Studios has not yet announced a release window or episode count for the new animated series. Details regarding the story direction and voice cast remain undisclosed at this time.
