Firefighters Contain 27% of Nevada Wildfire, 32 Homes Destroyed
U.S. firefighting crews have contained 27% of the Hawk Fire in Nevada, which erupted Saturday near Reno, burned over 6,000 hectares, destroyed 32 homes, damaged six others, and injured seven people—including three firefighters.

The blaze, named the Hawk Fire, ignited on Saturday in a mountainous area on the outskirts of Reno. Initial assessments confirm it has consumed more than 6,000 hectares of land.
According to official figures, the fire has destroyed 32 residences and caused damage to six additional homes.
Seven individuals sustained injuries as a result of the incident, including three firefighters.
Richard Edwards, the fire incident commander, cautioned that the reported numbers—particularly for structural losses and injuries—may rise.
