A woman who fell from the seventh-floor window of her apartment in Vladivostok, located in Russia's Far East, suffered only minor bruises, and her unborn child was unharmed, according to local health officials.

A source from the regional health ministry told Novosti agency that the 28-year-old woman, who was 30 weeks pregnant, experienced a remarkable incident. After falling from the seventh floor, she sustained only minor bruises. An ultrasound examination showed that the fetus was in satisfactory condition, with no threat to its life or health.

The source reported that the woman said she had suffered from insomnia one night and decided to clean the window. She stood on the edge of the window but slipped and fell backward from the seventh floor. A neighbor heard her screams, rushed to her aid, and called for an ambulance. The incident occurred at 2:30 a.m.

An ambulance crew arrived at the scene nine minutes later. Paramedics found the woman with several abrasions on her chest area and pain throughout her abdomen. They administered painkillers, applied a neck collar and a leg splint, and then transported her to Vladivostok Hospital No. 2.

The source added that the woman's survival after falling from such a height was a miracle in itself. Even more astonishing were the examination results: despite the fall from the seventh floor, the patient had no fractures and only several bruises in the soft tissues.
