Two unnamed characters join Superman and Lex in space, leak claims
A tipster alleges Man of Tomorrow features two cosmic teams, with Superman and Lex Luthor leading one alongside two secret identities.

Superman and Lex Luthor will not be the only figures venturing into the cosmos in Man of Tomorrow. A recent leak indicates that two additional characters are slated for space-based roles, forming part of a broader narrative structure involving multiple teams.
Cosmic team composition details
The information originates from X user @JamesMackwl, who claimed to have reviewed script specifics. He stated, “I received a bunch of script details for Man of Tomorrow lmaohshshs, they’re making an event movie without an established Justice League in the universe.” This assertion suggests the film operates in a setting where no pre-existing Justice League is active.
In a subsequent post, the source elaborated: “In Man of Tomorrow, two teams are formed, and four characters have roles in space, superman and Lex are the protagonists, but I won’t reveal the other two, meanwhile, other heroes will have supporting roles on Earth, something similar was reported by @ResonantJustice.” The description implies a split between extraterrestrial action and terrestrial support, with the latter handled by lesser-known hero roles.
Production status and cast
Neither DC Studios nor the filmmakers have addressed these rumors. The identity of the two unnamed cosmic characters remains undisclosed, as does their specific function within the space-bound group. James Gunn serves as both writer and director for the project, which is scheduled for theatrical release on July 9, 2027.
David Corenswet portrays Superman, while Nicholas Hoult takes on the role of Lex Luthor. Several actors from the preceding Superman film return, including Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. It has not been confirmed whether any of these returning cast members belong to the space team or the Earth-based support group.
