Apple May Rethink iPhone 18 Launch Strategy
Leaks suggest Apple could delay the base iPhone 18 model until early 2027, releasing Pro versions first.

Apple’s traditional launch rhythm for its flagship phones may be shifting. Fresh leaks indicate the company is considering a staggered release for the iPhone 18 series, with the standard model potentially arriving months after its Pro counterparts.
The speculation stems from reports that Apple has extended production of the iPhone 17 and increased its market supply. This unusual move has fueled the theory that the Cupertino giant plans to unveil the iPhone 18 lineup in phases rather than all at once during its typical autumn event.
Pro Models First, Base Model Delayed
According to the leaked information, the higher-end iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max could hit the market first. The base iPhone 18, in contrast, might be pushed back to early 2027. If accurate, this would mark a significant departure from Apple’s established practice of launching every new phone model simultaneously.
Apple has not issued any official statement regarding the rumors. The lack of confirmation leaves room for multiple possibilities, ranging from a genuine strategic pivot to early speculation that often circulates before any major product release.
