iPhone 18 Pro leak hints at smaller Dynamic Island, closer to
A new leak suggests the iPhone 18 Pro could feature a significantly smaller Dynamic Island, moving Apple closer to a near-full-screen design.

A fresh leak circulating on X has reignited speculation about Apple’s future design direction, specifically for the iPhone 18 Pro. The leaked images show a potential reduction in the size of the Dynamic Island at the top of the display, making it noticeably smaller than the cutout on the current iPhone 17 Pro.
The change, according to the reports, could stem from moving some Face ID components beneath the screen. This would allow Apple to shrink the area dedicated to the top notch. If the information holds, it would bring the company one step closer to a nearly uninterrupted, full-screen design.
Shrinking, but not vanishing
The new cutout is not expected to disappear entirely. Instead, the leak suggests it could become narrower by a significant margin—between 25% and 35%. This means the front-facing camera and certain sensors would remain visible, but in a form that is less visually intrusive than the current implementation.
Despite the circulation of images and design mockups, the source is not considered fully reliable. Some analysts caution that such a change may not debut in the next generation immediately and could be postponed to later models. For now, the idea remains more in the realm of speculation than confirmed reality.
