Apple Commits Over $30 Billion to Broadcom for US Chip Manufacturing
Apple has announced a $30 billion contract with Broadcom to produce over 15 billion chips in the United States, marking its largest manufacturing investment under the American Manufacturing Program.

Apple has revealed its largest investment under the American Manufacturing Program (AMP), committing more than $30 billion to a Broadcom contract that will result in the production of over 15 billion chips made in the United States.
The agreement will support the expansion and modernization of Broadcom’s manufacturing facilities in Fort Collins, Colorado, with a capital expenditure of $1.5 billion. This development is expected to sustain hundreds of American jobs.
Broadcom had previously announced an extended partnership with Apple to develop and supply a variety of custom chips through 2031, though the financial details of the contract were not disclosed at that time.
Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, emphasized the importance of the components produced in Fort Collins, stating, “The cutting-edge components built in Fort Collins are essential to delivering the incredible performance and connectivity our customers expect, and we’re proud to deepen our investments in U.S.-based suppliers that share our commitment to excellence and innovation.”
This new contract represents the largest single commitment within Apple’s AMP, which began with a $100 billion pledge and aims to reach $600 billion in U.S. investments over four years.
Apple’s initiative follows a previous U.S. chip manufacturing deal announced last year with Samsung, further reflecting the company’s focus on domestic production.
