Casio Launches G-Shock GA-2100 Commemorating Katsuta's WRC Win
Casio releases a limited-edition G-Shock GA-2100 in Japan honoring Takamoto Katsuta's first WRC victory at the Safari Rally Kenya 2026.

Casio has introduced a limited-edition G-Shock GA-2100 watch in collaboration with Toyota Gazoo Racing to celebrate driver Takamoto Katsuta's inaugural World Rally Championship win at the 2026 Safari Rally Kenya. This special edition will be released in Japan on May 28, coinciding with the start of the FIA World Rally Championship's Rally Japan event held in Aichi Prefecture. Pricing details remain undisclosed, and no official plans exist for distribution in the US or UK markets.
The watch features a predominantly black design, encompassing the case, strap, and dial, all finished in matte. Silver accents highlight the Gazoo Racing logo and the hands, while a red day-of-week indicator appears on a sub-dial near the 9 o'clock position, subtly reflecting the racing livery without overwhelming the overall aesthetic.
Technical Features of the GA-2100 Model
Built on the established GA-2100 G-Shock platform, this model combines an analog dial with a small digital display. It includes functions such as 31 time zones, selectable 12- or 24-hour formats, a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, five daily alarms, dual LED backlight, an automatic calendar, and water resistance up to 200 meters. These specifications align with the standard features typical of the GA-2100 series, as detailed by G-Central.
Availability Limited to Japan
The limited edition will be sold exclusively at the Rally Japan venue, Mitsui Outlet Park Okazaki, and through Rakuten's online platform. This restricted launch mirrors previous G-Shock collaborations with Toyota, such as the Morizo DW-5600, which also remained Japan-only before appearing on secondary markets at increased prices. While the Land Cruiser GWGB1000TLC1 model did eventually reach the US market at a price of $970, Casio has not announced similar plans for the Gazoo Racing GA-2100.
Consumers outside Japan interested in acquiring this watch may need to consider grey-market options or await any potential broader release later in 2026. It is important to note that this collaboration is distinct from the Casio Edifice x Toyota Gazoo Racing partnership revealed in January 2026, with both product lines operating concurrently.

The GA-2100 keeps its all-black palette with red and silver accents from the Gazoo Racing livery.
