Honor aims to release a wide foldable phone with a 7,000mAh battery and a Robot Phone featuring a gimbal camera, expected in August 2026.

Honor is preparing to introduce a wide foldable smartphone boasting a 7,000mAh battery, surpassing the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s anticipated 4,800mAh capacity. This new device will feature a 5.5-inch outer screen and a 7.6-inch inner display, alongside a horizontal camera island reminiscent of Google Pixel’s design, including a 200MP main sensor and a periscope zoom lens.
The wide foldable concept, originally developed within the Android ecosystem, is regaining popularity with the arrival of the so-called “iPhone Fold.” Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 is also adopting a wider inner display with a compact redesign, prompting other manufacturers, including Honor, to follow suit.
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Honor’s foldable phone targets the largest battery capacity in this category, aiming for 7,000mAh. The device’s camera setup will include a “horizontal runway” island, which is similar to the camera bar found on Google Pixel phones, and it will incorporate advanced optics such as a 200MP main camera and a periscope zoom lens. Further specifications have not been disclosed, but the phone is expected to offer robust performance comparable to the Honor Magic V6.
In addition to the foldable, Honor plans to release its Robot Phone in August, a device featuring a unique gimbal camera system. This launch will mark the debut of Honor’s collaboration with ARRI in imaging technology. The Robot Phone will support new form factors and integrate AI applications, as teased by Honor at recent trade shows. While the company had previously confirmed a launch before the end of September 2026, the August timeline provides a more specific window for release.
