Two exclusive versions of the EV63 keyboard, themed around Ghost in the Shell, are set to launch in conjunction with the anime series premiering on July 7, 2026. IQUNIX has collaborated with publisher Kodansha to produce these limited editions, which include the Shell Core and Cyber Blue color variants.

Both models showcase anodized aluminum cases, custom keycaps styled with a retro-futuristic font, and translucent modifier keys adorned with franchise imagery. A laser-engraved plate on the underside depicts the series' protagonist, emphasizing the collector-oriented design.

Unlike the standard EV63, which comes equipped with IQUNIX’s proprietary Hall Effect switches, these special editions feature Keytok Nova linear switches. These switches employ a freely floating magnet mechanism akin to Gateron's Dual-Drive technology, offering smoother actuation and a softer sound on release. According to TechPowerUp, the actuation force ranges from 35 to 48 gf with a total travel distance of 3.4 mm, making them suitable for gaming applications.

The EV63 maintains a GH60-compatible tray-mount layout, allowing compatibility with aftermarket cases such as the Wooting 60HE. This flexibility enables users to retain the switches and keycaps while opting for alternative chassis designs.

Pricing and pre-order information remain undisclosed, though the limited editions are expected to command a premium over the standard EV63’s retail price of $169 to $189 USD, as noted by MacSources. The keyboards will be available through IQUNIX’s official store and Amazon US, while availability in the UK is limited with no announced retail partners for this edition.

The release timing aligns with the anime’s premiere date, following common industry practices for intellectual property collaborations. Collector-focused anime keyboards typically retail at two to three times the price of their base models, suggesting that potential buyers in the US and UK should anticipate higher costs, including possible shipping fees or import taxes when ordering directly.
