Apple is nearing its entry into the foldable smartphone market with a device currently referred to as the "iPhone Fold." Recent leaks have provided clearer insights into the anticipated design of this device, which is among the most awaited from the company in coming years.

Images circulating online show a white prototype of a foldable phone that folds like a book, a design favored by many competitors in this segment. According to Gizmochina, a technology news outlet, the leaked prototype is based on the latest rumors and expectations surrounding Apple's foldable phone project but is not an official product from the company.

The photos suggest Apple may adopt a smoother, more streamlined design compared to some rivals, with rounded corners and edges giving the phone a softer appearance. The rear camera module draws attention as it aligns with the design language expected for future iPhones, featuring only two rear cameras.

Regarding color options, leaks indicate Apple might offer a limited palette for the first generation of the foldable phone. The white color seen in the prototype corresponds with earlier reports suggesting a silver variant alongside some darker shades. In contrast, traditional iPhone Pro models are expected to continue offering a wider range of colors.

Current information points to an external display measuring approximately 5.5 inches and an internal foldable screen expanding to 7.8 inches when fully opened. The device is also rumored to be powered by an A20 Pro processor, anticipated to be among Apple's most powerful chips at the time of release.

One of the most notable details generating interest is the potential return of Touch ID technology, which has been absent from flagship iPhones for several years. Reports suggest Apple may integrate a fingerprint sensor into the side power button rather than relying solely on the Face ID system currently in use.

This approach could be linked to engineering challenges associated with embedding the TrueDepth facial recognition system within a slim, foldable frame, possibly prompting Apple to revive fingerprint authentication in its new foldable model.

Upcoming Honor X80 Smartphone Launch

Following the recent release of the Honor X80i in China last month, the company is preparing to launch a new device in its X series, according to a fresh leak. The forthcoming phone is expected to be the Honor X80.

Digital Chat Station, a source known for leaking information, revealed that Honor plans to introduce a new X series smartphone in China during June. Although the source did not explicitly name the device, leaked details strongly suggest it will succeed the Honor X70.

GSMArena reports that the Honor X80 will feature a flat 6.8-inch LTPS display with a resolution of 1.5K. It is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 6-series processor, most likely the recently announced Snapdragon 6 Gen 5.

The leaks also indicate the phone will house a 10,000mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging. Additionally, the Honor X80 is rumored to have a shock-resistant design and may be available in colors such as Lightning Red, Mystic Black, Moon White, and Vibrant Orange.
