Musk Announces Name Change for SpaceX AI Unit Following Trump Order
Elon Musk confirmed that the artificial intelligence division of SpaceX will be renamed following an executive order by Donald Trump mandating the use of the term 'superintelligence' instead of 'artificial intelligence.'

Elon Musk announced a name change for the artificial intelligence unit affiliated with "SpaceX," following an executive order issued by Trump regarding the adoption of the term "superintelligence" instead of artificial intelligence.
Musk confirmed, in a post on the "X" platform, that the unit's name would change, responding to a question from one user about the possibility of renaming it, saying: "Yes, we will make this change."
Trump signed an executive order in late September directing US government agencies to adopt the term "superintelligence" when referring to artificial intelligence.
This step comes at a time when the US administration is intensifying its efforts to establish a framework for dealing with rapid developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
The "Wall Street Journal" reported that the White House is working to form a task force tasked with preparing a report within 120 days on the risks and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence, as well as defining federal government responsibilities in this area.
"SpaceX" was founded in 2002 by Musk and operates in the development and manufacturing of space technologies and equipment.
