Morocco's goalkeeper Yassine Bono acknowledged that the main reason for their setback against a strong opponent, France, was the absence of harmony on the field.

Morocco was eliminated in the quarterfinals by France, the runner-up of the previous World Cup edition. The French team scored two goals against Bono, who plays for Al Hilal. Despite his excellent performance, including saving a penalty from Kylian Mbappé, Bono could not prevent Morocco's deserved defeat.

Following the match, Bono stated, "Today’s game was not easy for us. We were unable to establish connection and harmony among ourselves on the pitch, and this cost us a lot."

He added, "We must also acknowledge the strength of our opponent (France). They are contenders for the title. We simply have to accept this loss and reorganize ourselves for the future."

Separately, Bono praised Argentine star Lionel Messi for his outstanding performance against Egypt in the round of 16, describing Messi in the current World Cup as "liberated."

In an interview with Argentine television, Bono said, "I admired the fighting spirit shown by the Argentine team against Egypt, especially what Lionel Messi did. He is an amazing player."
