The official photograph commemorating Spain's victory in the 2026 World Cup sparked significant controversy after FIFA published the final version without including US President Donald Trump.

Official accounts related to the tournament clarified that the approved image featured only the Spanish national team players celebrating their title, omitting Trump, who had stood beside the team during the award ceremony alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Media outlets also reported that the Spanish team shared a celebratory photo that similarly excluded the American president, although Trump appeared in other pictures taken during the crowning event.

The image followed the final match in which Spain secured the 2026 World Cup by defeating Argentina. The regular time ended in a goalless draw before Ferran Torres scored the winning goal in the 106th minute of the second extra half, granting "La Roja" the world title last Sunday.
