Portugal secured a 2-1 victory against Croatia in Toronto, advancing to the World Cup round of 16 with goals from Ronaldo and Ramos.

Portugal narrowly advanced to the round of 16 in the World Cup by overturning a deficit to defeat Croatia 2-1 on Thursday in Toronto, concluding a dramatic match.
Croatian player Ivan Perišić opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, but Cristiano Ronaldo equalized with a penalty in the 68th minute. Substitute Gonzalo Ramos secured the winning goal for Portugal in the fourth minute of added time (90+4).
In the round of 16, Portugal will face Spain, who earlier defeated Austria 3-0 in Arlington, Dallas, on the upcoming Monday.
Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, became the oldest player to participate in a World Cup knockout match and the oldest to score in such a stage at 41 years old. He was substituted in the 81st minute, replaced by Saudi club Al Hilal’s player Ruben Neves.
