Unai Simon Wins Golden Glove at 2026 World Cup Final

FIFA declared Unai Simon as the recipient of the Golden Glove award for the 2026 Men's World Cup following the final match held on Sunday evening.

The World Cup final featured Argentina and Spain, hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Spain secured the championship with a 1-0 win, thanks to a goal scored by Ferran Torres in the 106th minute during the second half of extra time.

Unai Simon, Spain's goalkeeper, received the Golden Glove award immediately after the match, as confirmed by FIFA.

In the previous World Cup held in Qatar in 2022, Emiliano Martínez, goalkeeper for Argentina, was awarded the Golden Glove after his team won the title against France.

This victory marks Spain's second World Cup title, the first having been won 16 years earlier at the 2010 tournament.
