Yemeni warplanes launched a series of intense airstrikes today, Saturday, on military sites belonging to the Houthi militia in the capital, Sanaa.

Colonel Majed Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said that the forces carried out an attack on vital and legitimate military targets in Sanaa, without providing further details.

Military sources revealed to "Erem News" that approximately ten airstrikes targeted military sites in the highlands of Fajj Atan and Jabal al-Nahdayn overlooking the presidential complex in the south of the city.

The sources added that the strikes coincided with calls by the militia through loudspeakers in several mosques in the city urging general mobilization and conscription for fighting in order to rally more youth to the fronts.

The Yemeni Army announced on Saturday the execution of 257 precise targeting operations against sites, movements, and military capabilities belonging to the Houthi militias, using warplanes, drones, artillery, missiles, and launchers.

Al-Nazili stated in a press release that the operations included areas of Sanaa, Midi, Baqim, and the fronts of Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda, and Lahj, with operational efforts focused on the fronts of Taiz.

According to the statement, the operations targeted command and control centers, gatherings, concentrations, and combat reserves, in addition to weapons and ammunition depots and military supply lines and means.

The statement clarified that initial field estimates indicate the neutralization of at least 700 Houthi fighters, in addition to the destruction of military targets described as strategic and high-value, as well as the destruction of 170 combat vehicles and mechanisms.

The statement noted that the operations inflicted, according to field estimates, a direct impact on the Houthi combat capabilities, limiting their ability to continue what the armed forces described as attacks against civilians in their homes and villages.

Al-Nazili affirmed that "the armed forces are continuing to carry out their missions to protect citizens and defend the security and sovereignty of the country."
