Interpol announced that police arrested 95 suspects in an international operation against online child sexual abuse material across 17 countries.

The International Criminal Police Organization "Interpol" said in a statement on Thursday that police arrested 95 suspects in an international operation against the distribution of "child sexual abuse material" online.
Seventeen countries from Latin America and Europe participated in the raid, including Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, and Italy, where four police operations were carried out between March and September last year.
Investigators executed 127 search warrants. Steven Frey, Executive Director for Investigative Support at Interpol, stated: "Behind every file is a child who has been abused and suffers, experiencing renewed trauma each time those images are circulated."
He added: "Wherever perpetrators move, our response must be faster."
The arrested suspects belong to 17 different countries; approximately 89% were male and 11% female. It is expected that the materials seized during the investigation will lead to the identification of more perpetrators and children at risk, as well as additional protective measures.
According to Interpol, perpetrators increasingly use digital platforms to sexually exploit children, coordinate abuse, and profit from illegal content.
