After Days of Pause, Ukraine Resumes Strikes on Russian Oil Refineries
Ukraine targeted three Russian oil refineries on Friday following a brief pause in similar attacks, according to Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.

Ukraine targeted three oil refineries in Russia on Friday after a "pause" of several days in launching similar attacks, according to Russian official responsible for energy affairs Alexander Novak, as reported by AFP.
Novak said in an interview with Russian state television: "We witnessed a pause for some time. Today, attacks on the refineries resumed," clarifying that three refineries and a gas complex were subjected to Ukrainian attacks.
On October 11, US President Donald Trump announced a truce in which both the Russian and Ukrainian sides would stop striking Ukrainian facilities.
Ukraine halted targeting certain refineries for a short period, according to Zelensky's statements.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal on October 29, Ukrainian military directives issued mid-month suspended targeting refineries after completing operations that were underway.
The Trump administration pressured Kyiv to halt these attacks amid American concerns related to fuel prices and negotiations with Moscow.
Zelensky denied the existence of an order preventing the army from striking refineries, stating that forces were merely more cautious.
