After Netanyahu Rejects US Peace Plan for Gaza, How Did Trump Describe Their Relationship?

President Donald Trump emphasized on Monday that his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was "very good," despite Netanyahu's rejection of a U.S.-backed peace plan for Gaza.

Trump said in response to a question from a journalist at the end of an event in the White House briefing room, "The relationship is very good," according to AFP.

Recent reports had suggested a deterioration in relations between Trump and Netanyahu following the latter's rejection of the peace plan proposed by the U.S. president for the Gaza Strip.

On another note, the U.S. president stated that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz and has removed Iranian mines from it, according to Reuters.

He added to reporters: "The only force currently controlling the Strait of Hormuz is the U.S. Navy... We have cleared all mines from the strait."
