US Treasury Secretary Scott Bissint announced that the United States confiscated Iranian assets worth approximately 500 million dollars.
Bissint explained in an interview with "Fox Business" channel on Wednesday: "We were able to confiscate cryptocurrency assets worth approximately 350 million dollars, and recently we obtained another 100 million, bringing the total to about half a billion."
He pointed out that the United States is also freezing bank accounts linked to Iran.
Bissint had announced earlier this month the freezing of crypto wallets linked to Tehran, which included 344 million dollars, and affirmed that Washington will continue to take measures to prevent the Islamic Republic from "earning, transferring, or recovering financial resources."
