US Central Command announced that the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush continues to support military operations in the Middle East as part of its scheduled deployment.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Thursday that the aircraft carrier "USS George H.W. Bush" (CVN 77) continues to support US military operations in the Middle East as part of its scheduled deployment, carrying approximately 5,000 crew members and attached personnel.
The resumption of the carrier's missions in the region follows a visit to Phuket Island, Thailand, on October 4, after nearly six months of operations.
The Nimitz-class carrier had departed from Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia on March 31, as part of a Carrier Strike Group comprising an air wing and accompanying warships.
"George H.W. Bush" arrived in the US Central Command area of operations in late April to participate in supporting military operations and maritime security missions in the Middle East.
