Controversial Move: FBI Director Arrives in Russia
FBI Director Kash Patel has arrived in Russia for a meeting, sparking concerns within US intelligence circles ahead of midterm elections.

US network MS NOW reported, citing two sources, that the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Kash Patel, has arrived in Russia to attend a meeting, though the report did not specify the date or agenda of the meeting.
Patel's plans to visit Russia had raised concerns within the FBI and US intelligence communities weeks before the congressional midterm elections scheduled for November 3, amid questions about the purpose of the visit and potential security risks.
The Atlantic magazine reported on Friday that 17 people, including current and former officials from the FBI, the Department of Justice, and intelligence agencies, expressed concern over the visit, given tensions between Washington and Moscow and US fears regarding Russian espionage activities and election interference.
