Syria's presidential media office released a statement detailing the meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Riyadh, focusing on bilateral relations and reconstruction efforts.

The Media Directorate of the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic issued a statement today, Tuesday, detailing the meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Riyadh.
The statement read: "Official Syrian-Saudi talks focused on ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations in various fields, and exploring mechanisms to elevate them politically, diplomatically, and economically to serve the interests and aspirations of the two brotherly peoples."
It added: "The talks reviewed strategic plans and upcoming stages related to Syria's reconstruction file, building infrastructure and vital damaged facilities."
The statement confirmed that "the talks focused on mobilizing and attracting quality investments to Syria, and activating the role of the Syrian and Saudi business sectors to invest in energy, construction, industry, agriculture, and trade."
The statement concluded: "Al-Sharaa extended an official invitation to Bin Salman to visit the Syrian Arab Republic, to crown diplomatic rapprochement and establish a new phase of joint Arab action and coordination regarding regional and international issues."
According to the Syrian news channel "Al-Ikhbariya," the visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and develop aspects of common cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Sharaa's visit to Saudi Arabia comes at a highly sensitive regional time, as these official talks coincide with the ongoing complexities of the Yemeni file, mutual escalation linked to Iran's role, and accelerating geopolitical tensions in the region.
