British Defense Secretary John Healey said today, Saturday, that the Iranian regime has hostile intentions and poses a threat to Britain, according to The Telegraph.

He added that Britain is considering an appropriate response after reaching confirmed conclusions regarding RAF Fairford, noting that investigations are ongoing and following leads is crucial, as he expressed.

On Friday, Defense Secretary Healey suggested that Iran might be responsible for the failed attempt to target RAF Fairford, which is used by the United States.

Healey's comments came after police announced the arrest of a person holding both British and Iranian citizenship, suspected in the base incident, bringing the number of arrests related to the incident to six.

A second man, also a British national, was questioned after being warned that his statements could be used as evidence against him, while police searched two properties in the area.

However, the Defense Minister did not officially attribute the attack to Iran, describing what happened at the US base as a "very serious incident."

Police found no explosives but seized quantities of fuel at the scene.

The five men who had been arrested were released on bail, a decision that drew criticism from US President Donald Trump.

The United States uses the airbase to launch strikes against Iran.
