Iran's official news agency "IRNA" reported hearing the sound of an explosion on Tuesday evening near Qeshm Island in Hormozgan province, from the sea side.
The agency quoted informed sources stating that the explosion was heard minutes prior, noting that no targeting or injuries have been recorded in the island's areas so far, without revealing any details about the nature or causes of the explosion.
Meanwhile, the "Breaking News" agency reported that an oil tanker was hit in the Strait of Hormuz.
