An explosion took place at a Hanwha Aerospace facility located in Daejeon, central South Korea, according to a news report. Firefighters are currently engaged in efforts to put out the resulting fire.

South Korea's Yonhap News Agency cited officials stating that authorities received a report of the explosion at the defense company's site in Daejeon, approximately 140 kilometers south of Seoul, at 10:59 a.m.

It remains unclear whether the incident caused any injuries.
