Pascal Confavreux, spokesperson for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced today that France has begun implementing operational aspects of an agreement designed to help safeguard oil facilities in Saudi Arabia. The official declined to provide further details regarding the specific military assets dispatched to the Kingdom.

This development follows statements made last month by French President Emmanuel Macron. He indicated that France would send troops and defensive systems to Saudi Arabia. The objective is to assist in protecting the coastal city of Yanbu, which overlooks the Red Sea and serves as a pivotal hub for energy transport.
