Kimberly Guilfoyle denies misconduct allegations and vows to defend her reputation after the Trump administration requested her resignation as US ambassador to Greece.

Kimberly Guilfoyle has publicly rejected allegations of improper conduct following her departure from the role of US ambassador to Greece. The former Fox host stated she will vigorously defend her name, reputation, and integrity against what she described as false accusations.
The Trump administration announced on Tuesday that it had asked Guilfoyle to step down from her post in Athens. This decision followed intense criticism regarding alleged improper and potentially illegal behavior occurring both before and during her tenure. Reports indicated that the administration’s request for her resignation came after AP News received signals over the weekend suggesting such a move was likely.
President Donald Trump expressed displeasure with reports concerning Guilfoyle’s alleged conduct on Monday. When addressing the situation, he stated, “Well, we’re looking at it. We’re not happy.” Guilfoyle’s refusal to back down contrasts with the administration’s stance, as she maintained her innocence through social media channels.
Guilfoyle wrote on X, “These allegations are false, and I intend to vigorously defend my name, my reputation, and my integrity.” She added, “I have dedicated my professional life to fighting for justice, standing up for what is right, and defending the values that make America exceptional. I will not allow false accusations to define my decades of public service.”
The controversy surrounding her time in Greece began emerging in the final week of September 2026. Initial reports focused on her financial interactions and relationships with prominent Greek businessmen. Republican donor Eric Deters also went public with leaked chats involving Guilfoyle. He alleged that she asked him for money to pay a $100,000 credit card bill shortly before her Senate confirmation in July 2025.
Guilfoyle had been actively involved in Donald Trump’s political campaigns since 2019, spanning more than seven years through October 2026. Her role as a campaign adviser and fundraiser brought her further attention amid recent headlines. Despite the fallout with the president and the request for her departure, she continues to assert that the allegations against her are unfounded.
