The Iranian Central Bank governor stated that the bank will not allow the US to push Iran's economy into collapse, pledging to use available intervention tools to stabilize the foreign exchange market.

Iranian Central Bank Governor announced, "We recognize the pressures facing our citizens and will not allow America to push our economy toward collapse."
Earlier, the Iranian Central Bank stated in a release that it would utilize its available intervention tools to manage volatility and return the foreign exchange market to a "path more consistent with economic realities."
The Iranian Central Bank said, "A significant portion of this stems from rising uncertainty, psychological pressure, and market expectations. Past experiences have shown that these gaps will narrow as expectation-related pressures subside and calm returns."
It announced that it continuously monitors developments in the foreign exchange market and will take necessary measures when required to maintain monetary stability, support the exchange rate market, and manage volatility.
The Iranian Central Bank also declared that it will take necessary steps to prevent the formation of trends in the market that are not based on economic fundamentals.
