Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei reaffirmed Tehran's readiness to facilitate dialogue between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, emphasizing that military escalation does not serve anyone's interests.

Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, confirmed his country's stance on the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, stressing support for dialogue between the two parties to resolve issues through diplomatic channels.
Baghaei stated that Iran remains ready to make efforts to end clashes, affirming that "escalation serves no one, while the Yemeni armed forces act according to their own interests and assessments."
He noted that developments over the past 12 years prove that foreign intervention, military approaches, and blockades are not solutions to the Yemeni issue, calling on regional countries and the Islamic world to work towards ending this situation.
In response to allegations by an official regarding Iran's role in inciting Yemenis to attack Saudi Arabia, Baghaei denied any Iranian involvement in Yemeni operations, stating that resolving the Yemeni issue requires respecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity, halting interference in internal affairs, and most importantly, ending the air and sea blockade.
