Iran's Revolutionary Guard Targets 85 US Military Sites in Bahrain and Kuwait
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard reported striking 85 US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait using missiles and drones.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Wednesday that it had targeted and destroyed 85 American military sites at the Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and the Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait using missiles and drones.
In a statement published by Mehr News Agency, the Revolutionary Guard said the US military violated a memorandum of understanding by conducting strikes on coastal bases and civilian locations in Hormozgan and Mahshahr. The Iranian response was described as "initial," carried out through joint operations by naval and air forces.
A spokesperson for the Revolutionary Guard confirmed the destruction of an American MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle over the skies of Bushehr province in the south.
Separately, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters declared that a strong response would be made to the US strikes and emphasized that America would not be permitted to interfere in the affairs or management of the Strait of Hormuz.
At the same time, Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense reported that its air defenses had intercepted attacks involving hostile missiles and drones, while Bahrain’s Interior Ministry announced the activation of warning sirens.
