Jordanian military intercepts 18 Iranian ballistic missiles, no casualties

The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that the Kingdom had come under a “rocket attack” originating from Iranian territory. According to the military, its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 18 ballistic missiles out of a total of 20 fired toward Jordanian soil.

In a formal statement, the official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces — the Arab Army — stated that the remaining two missiles landed in unpopulated areas, with no casualties recorded. The spokesperson emphasized that the armed forces responded to the threat “in accordance with established operational procedures,” ensuring both the protection of Jordanian airspace and the safety of its citizens. Monitoring, tracking, and situational assessment operations remain ongoing.

Response to missile debris

Specialized teams have begun operations at impact sites to secure and assess scattered debris and falling objects. These units are carrying out necessary measures to verify the safety of surrounding zones.

Civilian safety instructions

The armed forces urged the public not to approach, touch, or move any unidentified objects or fragments. Citizens are instructed to immediately notify competent authorities upon discovering such items.
