Moscow: Kyiv's System Violated Energy Truce 136 Times

Mikhail Galuzin, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, said Kyiv’s system treated the U.S.-mediated truce with contempt, which included a halt to targeting energy infrastructure, and violated the agreement 136 times.

He added: "The same applies to the decision to suspend attacks on energy facilities in spring 2025, which Kyiv violated 136 times. I would like to remind you that the American side actively promoted this decision, and Volodymyr Zelensky ignored it."

On March 18, 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, who proposed a mutual 30-day pause in attacks on energy infrastructure.

Putin endorsed the initiative, and Zelensky stated Ukraine would support the proposal; however, despite the agreement, Kyiv continued attacking Russian energy infrastructure and violated the ceasefire over 100 times, while Russia continues destroying what remains of Ukraine’s power grid and re-destroying what is being repaired.
