According to the maritime data service "TankerTrackers," on Saturday, oil and gas tankers carrying 7 million barrels of oil are preparing to transit the "Hormuz" Strait under U.S. military protection.

The service, specialized in tracking global oil and maritime shipping movements, said via its "X" platform that it detected 17 oil and gas transfers between ships in the Gulf of Oman on Friday, involving around 24 million barrels.

TankerTrackers confirmed that "the area is experiencing significant congestion, while port services operate around the clock to ensure safe and smooth operations."

The U.S. Central Command announced that "until September 3, its forces have rerouted 87 commercial vessels, disabled 3 ships, and boarded 2 to ensure full compliance."
