US President Donald Trump threatened on Wednesday to teach Iran a "harsh lesson," affirming that Washington's patience with Tehran has run out, at a time when he predicted the war with Iran would end very soon and that energy prices would drop sharply after the fighting stops.
Trump said in his remarks on Wednesday: "We will teach Iran a harsh lesson; our patience with them has run out."

He confirmed that the war with Iran will end "very soon," without specifying a date for its conclusion or providing further details on how this will be achieved.

The US President reiterated his assertion that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons amid the ongoing military confrontation.

Trump linked the end of the war with Iran to a decline in energy prices, expecting them to drop sharply once the war stops.

In the context of his remarks, Trump criticized former US President Barack Obama's policy toward Iran.

He stated that the Obama administration gave billions of dollars to Tehran, arguing that it should have prevented Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

These criticisms come within Trump's stance rejecting the policies adopted by previous US administrations in dealing with the Iranian nuclear program.

China and Russia Support
On Tuesday, Trump ruled out China and Russia providing any assistance to Iran in the ongoing war, affirming that both countries have "a lot to lose" if they decide to support Tehran.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, the US President said he had reviewed comments from his opponents and critics discussing Chinese and Russian aid to Iran.

He clarified that even if such aid were being provided, it would, in his estimation, be on a very limited scale, but he doubted the existence of any support of this kind.

Trump emphasized that the United States is capable of detecting any Chinese or Russian intervention in favor of Iran very quickly.

He affirmed that Beijing and Moscow have significant interests that could be jeopardized if they provide aid to Tehran during the war.
