Yemeni Americans held a protest outside the White House on Monday, demanding an end to the Houthi siege of Taiz and calling for US support for the internationally recognized government.
A number of members of the Yemeni community in the United States organized a protest demonstration in front of the White House in Washington on Monday, "in support of the Yemeni government" and "to condemn Houthi attacks."
Participants raised slogans demanding "an end to the Houthi siege of the city of Taiz."
During the sit-in, participants read a message addressed to US President Donald Trump, in which they affirmed that "achieving lasting peace in Yemen can only be realized through strengthening state institutions affiliated with the internationally recognized government and confronting the Iran-backed Houthis," stressing the importance of American support to preserve Yemen's unity.
