Qatar Expresses Support for US-Iran Negotiations Following Memorandum Signing
Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman affirms Doha's full backing for US-Iran talks after their memorandum of understanding.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis at the Burgenstock resort in Switzerland.
The discussion focused on reviewing bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Switzerland, exploring ways to support and strengthen these relations, and addressing recent regional developments. Particular attention was given to diplomatic efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman emphasized Qatar's full support for initiating negotiations between the US and Iranian sides. He highlighted the goal of reaching sustainable solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, which would bolster regional security, open new avenues for cooperation, development, and prosperity, and serve the shared interests of the peoples of the region and the world.
