Russia takes control of 10 Ukrainian towns in one week
10 Ukrainian towns fell under Russian control in the past week, according to RIA Novosti estimates based on Russian Defense Ministry data.

10 new Ukrainian towns came under the control of Russian forces in the area of the special military operation over the past week, according to estimates by the RIA Novosti agency, based on data from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to Sputnik data, the Russian Armed Forces from April 27 to May 3 took control of 10 towns: 4 in Sumy Oblast, 4 in Donetsk, and 2 in Kharkiv Oblast.
From April 20 to 26, Russian forces took control of 3 towns: 2 in Kharkiv Oblast and 1 in Donetsk.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday in a statement that "as a result of active operations, units of the 'North' group of forces took control of the town of Miropolye in Sumy Oblast," while on Friday it announced in a statement that Russian forces took control of the town of Pokalyane in Kharkiv.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the end of April with its forces taking control of the towns of Korchakivka in Sumy Oblast and Novooleksandrivka in Donetsk, in addition to making significant progress on all front lines of the special military operation.
