Russia strikes Black Sea cargo ship carrying military supplies

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that its armed forces continue to target naval vessels utilized by the Ukrainian military. According to the ministry, the struck ship was transporting military shipments destined for units of the Ukrainian army.

The ministry reported that a cargo transport ship carrying military shipments for Ukrainian forces in the Black Sea was hit by a drone strike. The attack took place during daylight hours in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

Earlier strikes and Kyiv data centers

Earlier on the same day, the ministry announced that its forces had struck two data centers in Kyiv. The statement also confirmed attacks on a cargo ship linked to military operations in the Black Sea and another vessel carrying military shipments at the port of Odesa.

Zelensky confirms damage

Vladimir Zelensky acknowledged that the Russian army had hit two ships flying foreign flags in the Odesa region of the Black Sea. He further noted that the Russian strikes caused damage to energy facilities and substations.
