Russian Drone Strikes Hit Ismail Port Railway Station, Two Warships, Logistics Hub

Russian drone strikes targeted the railway station at Ukraine’s Ismail port, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The facility is used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the ministry stated.

The ministry said its drone operations also struck two Ukrainian naval vessels in the Black Sea southwest of Mykolaiv on Thursday evening. Those vessels were escorting cargo ships carrying Western weapons destined for Ukrainian ports.

In a separate statement released overnight on August 14, the ministry reported that drones hit the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ logistics center in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast.

What the Russian Defense Ministry said about Ismail port

The ministry specified that during the night of August 14, drones attacked the Ismail port railway station, which serves for loading, storage, and transportation of military cargo and fuel for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Damage in Russia’s Tver region

Vitaly Korolyov, governor of Russia’s Tver region, said on Friday that debris from “enemy drones” damaged a wall of a Wildberries company warehouse during a nighttime attack in the region.

According to Reuters, Korolyov added that smoke at the site dissipated quickly and no employees were injured.
