Saudi Defense Minister Discusses Regional Security and Stability with US Counterpart
Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held a phone call with US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to discuss strategic defense partnerships and regional stability.

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held a telephone call with his US counterpart, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. During the conversation, they reviewed the strategic defense partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States and discussed coordinating efforts by the two friendly nations to enhance security and stability in the region, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
This call between the ministers comes following renewed attacks by the Iran-aligned Houthi group in Yemen on Saudi Arabia, as Riyadh works to strengthen its regional defense partnerships amid a broader crisis involving Iran and its allies.
Earlier, the coalition led by Saudi Arabia to combat the Houthis in Yemen stated that the militia targeted an electricity distribution station in Medina on Tuesday, resulting in one transformer going out of service but without affecting the power grid.
