The Israeli channel 14 revealed that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich issued a warning to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding he remove 40 Palestinian memorials across the West Bank. Smotrich gave Netanyahu a deadline not exceeding 24 hours.

The channel said the message was sent to Netanyahu following his condemnation of far-right Knesset member Tzvi Sukhot for destroying a memorial, with Smotrich urging Israeli institutions to take action themselves to dismantle what he described as "infrastructure for incitement."

Smotrich attached to his message a list of 40 landmarks and memorials in various areas of the West Bank, claiming they commemorate perpetrators of attacks against Israel, and demanded Netanyahu issue immediate orders to the occupation army to dismantle all of them within 24 hours.

In his message, Smotrich stated, "These landmarks have existed for years in areas close to Israeli settlements, alleging that no 'systematic and sufficient' measures have been taken to remove them."
