Support Legitimacy Coalition Intercepts Houthi Missile Bound for Riyadh
The Support Legitimacy Coalition in Yemen announced the interception of a ballistic missile launched by Houthi militias toward Riyadh, prompting extended operational suspensions at King Khalid International Airport.

The Support Legitimacy Coalition in Yemen announced yesterday, Monday, the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched by the terrorist Houthi militias towards Riyadh.
The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation extended the suspension of operational activities at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to complete the necessary procedures to verify the safety of facilities and their operational readiness. This follows a previous attack carried out by the terrorist Houthi militias, which resulted in deaths, injuries, and material damages currently being addressed.
Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, head of the Council of Senior Scholars, affirmed that targeting civilian facilities and Islamic holy sites by the terrorist Houthi militia, including those visiting the "Holy Mosque" and the "Prophet's Mosque," constitutes one of the greatest crimes. He added, "No one throughout history has followed the path of this criminal gang in targeting holy sites and their visitors without meeting ruin and dire consequences."
Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Emir of the Riyadh Region, conveyed greetings from the Saudi leadership and wishes for speedy recovery while visiting injured patients in capital hospitals following the Houthi aggression, emphasizing that the leadership stands with them heart and soul.
Saudi Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari stressed during a press conference that Saudi Arabia possesses advanced capabilities to deal with aerial threats, missiles, and drones. He reaffirmed the Kingdom's priority on the security of the nation, citizens, and residents. He noted that raising readiness to face threats does not imply anxiety but reflects the state's preparedness for various scenarios.
Additionally, 176 ministers, scholars, muftis, and heads of associations, universities, and Islamic institutions from more than 70 countries around the world expressed their strong condemnation of the Houthi attacks. They confirmed that deliberately endangering innocent lives and terrorizing the safe reveals these militias' disregard for the sanctity of human life and constitutes a grave violation of international laws and norms.
