Axios reported that Syrian Foreign Minister Asad al-Shibani held a meeting today with the head of Mossad to de-escalate tensions between the two nations.

Reuters cited three sources stating that contact was made between al-Shibani and the Mossad chief on August 14, during which they discussed Turkey's military presence in Syria.

Al-Shibani confirmed that talks with the Israeli side had halted following the Israeli attack on Abu al-Duhur airport, but he anticipated their resumption soon.
