Law enforcement authorities in the US state of Texas, in cooperation between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Texas Department of Public Safety, foiled a potential attack targeting the state's "Capitol" building in Austin, according to "Fox News."
Officers from the Texas Department of Public Safety and agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested the suspect, Benny Caldera Jr., after thwarting the potential attack on the Capitol building.
Senior correspondent Jonathan Hunt reported details of the efforts undertaken by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Texas Department of Public Safety to prevent the potential attack, which ended with the arrest of Caldera Jr.
For his part, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the state will not tolerate any threats using violence against the Capitol building.
