Trump After Meeting Chinese President: 'Great Things Will Happen'

President Donald Trump said "great things will happen," in his first tweet after meeting his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, describing the meeting as "extremely productive."

Trump said via his account on his platform "Truth Social": "An extremely productive meeting with President Xi, for both the United States and China. Great things will happen."

He added: "Like most people, President Xi seemed to prefer replacing the inaccurate and misleading term for 'artificial intelligence' with a more precise and important one: 'super intelligence.' That would be truly 'super'! Everyone agreed on that last night as well."

Trump was referring to the terminology he prefers for describing artificial intelligence, during his speech before the United Nations General Assembly.

Xi arrived in Washington on Thursday, meeting Trump to discuss several sensitive issues between their countries, with Trump disclosing some understandings reached by both sides, including trade-related ones.

Earlier today, Friday, U.S. Trade Representative Jamison Greer said the United States is expected to announce details of the trade negotiations with China next Monday.
