US President Donald Trump announced an immediate ceasefire on energy facilities between Russia and Ukraine, stating that both parties have agreed to the halt.
US President Donald Trump confirmed today that a ceasefire on energy facilities between Russia and Ukraine has been reached.
Trump said: "From now on, there is a ceasefire on energy facilities in the war between Russia and Ukraine with the approval of both sides."
Trump stated in a post on the Truth Social platform: "From this moment, a ceasefire in the energy sector of the war between Russia and Ukraine is in effect. Both parties have agreed. Do not break it! Thank you for your interest in this matter."
The announcement comes after Trump confirmed on Friday that an agreement was reached with Moscow to suspend sanctions on Russian diesel exports until April 7. In return, the Russian government allowed the sale of 500,000 tons of diesel to foreign markets starting October 10, after banning its export in July in response to Ukrainian strikes.
