Trump Announces Iran's Full Agreement to Extensive Nuclear Inspections

President Donald Trump announced that Iran has agreed "fully and completely" to undergo the highest level of oversight and inspection of its nuclear program for an extended period. He emphasized that this condition forms the foundation for the continuation of negotiations between the two sides.

Trump stated that Tehran's approval of comprehensive nuclear inspections was an essential prerequisite for maintaining the negotiation process. He added that "without Iran accepting these measures, there would be no further negotiations."

The American president explained that the new inspection system aims to ensure the "integrity and transparency" of Iran's nuclear dossier. He stressed that Iran's rejection of this mechanism would have resulted in a complete halt to the talks.

In a related development, a "stormy" session is expected to take place in Congress on Wednesday, with President Trump present, to resolve the "Iran file."

Regarding sanctions, Trump confirmed that all ships and forces involved in the blockade enforcement mechanism will remain in their positions in anticipation of any future developments. At the same time, he noted that the re-imposition of the blockade on Iran is "highly unlikely at this stage."

He added that the funds released by the U.S. Treasury under recent understandings with Iran will be deposited into a guarantee account subject to Washington's oversight and control. This step aims to monitor how the money is used and to ensure compliance with the agreement's terms.
